Terms of Service

These terms govern the use of Dotshop (“the app”), provided by Kay Mohnke trading as Dotworks (“we”), by merchants who install it on a BigCommerce store (“you”).

1. The service

Dotshop lets you place shoppable hotspots on images and show them on your storefront. The app depends on BigCommerce APIs; features may change when BigCommerce changes its platform. We may update the app at any time and will not remove core functionality from a paid plan without notice.

2. Plans and payment

• The Free plan is limited as described in the app and may be changed at any time.
• Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, through Stripe or BigCommerce. Prices are shown before you subscribe and exclude VAT where applicable.
• You can cancel at any time. The paid plan stays active until the end of the period already paid for; there are no refunds for partial periods except where the law requires.
• If a payment fails, the store returns to the Free plan after a grace period of 7 days. Your looks are kept.

3. Your responsibilities

• You must have the rights to every image you upload and every product you link.
• Discount codes created by the app are ordinary BigCommerce coupons. You are responsible for checking that a discount is correct before publishing a look.
• You must not use the app to display unlawful content or to interfere with the service.

4. Availability and liability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for lost profits or indirect damages. This does not limit liability for intent, gross negligence, or injury to life, body or health.

5. Termination

You end the contract by uninstalling the app. We may suspend access if these terms are violated. Section 4 of the Privacy Policy describes what happens to your data on uninstall.

6. Governing law

German law applies. If you are a merchant (Kaufmann), the courts at our registered seat have jurisdiction.
